Why business owners should add photo editing to their resume

If you’re a small business owner, you know the importance of photos. Whether for your website, brochures, posters, events or social media, imagery is essential to conveying your brand’s story. But not all entrepreneurs were born with photography skills, nor can they afford professional help.

As a result, photo-editing skills are becoming increasingly important for anyone in business or marketing. No, you don’t have to go through an entire college course; all it takes is some self-education.

Let’s get one thing out of the way. Why is imagery so important for business? Photos can help people recall your product or service at a much higher rate than text ever will:

Basically, we remember more of what we see than what we hear, and we remember images more than text. What does this mean? It means that if you use compelling images in your marketing material, people are more likely to remember them, and therefore your business.

    I’d love to purchase Corel’s PaintShop Pro and will do so just as soon as you make it available for my Macs, I already have a perpetual license for Photoshop CS6 for my Macs, and I’m not going to put Windows on my computers just to run PaintShop Pro.

    I have purchased Painter X3 – which runs natively on the Mac – and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the disc. Thank you for your Adobe Photoshop customer discount!
